Only a Madman Thinks India Can Block Pakistan’s Water: DG ISPR

Rawalpindi: DG ISPR Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that the idea of India shutting off Pakistan’s water is not only unfeasible, but only a madman can have this thought.

In an interview given to Arab media, the Pakistan Army spokesperson said that it is not possible to shut off the water for 240 million people of Pakistan, and India is only making baseless claims in this regard.

He said that Pakistan has responded to Indian allegations by adhering to the principles of truth and transparency at every opportunity.

Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif clarified that India has no evidence related to the Pahalgam incident, and to date, it has not been able to show anything to the world.

If India has any evidence, it should present it before a credible international forum or third party, so that an impartial investigation can be conducted.

He further said that the Indian media and the state are spreading false propaganda, while Pakistan has not arrested any journalist in this dispute, which is proof of our transparency.

Commenting on the Indian allegations, the Pakistan Army spokesperson sarcastically said:

“India’s film industry is developed, and it also produces its war adventure films.”

The DG ISPR said that the Pakistani nation, political leadership, armed forces, and people showed exemplary unity against India, and “Operation Banyan Marsus” was a practical expression of this resistance.

Referring to the defense capabilities, he said that the JF-17 Thunder, J-10C, Fateh One, and Fateh Two missiles were a symbol of Pakistan’s defense self-reliance. He clarified that Pakistan has not yet used its full military power.

General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry alleged that India is supporting terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Pakistan is continuing operations against these elements with its full military power.

Speaking on the global scenario, he said that the idea of war between two nuclear powers is extremely dangerous and ridiculous.

India’s war fever is becoming a threat to the peace of the entire region, and it is on the path to self-destruction.

In conclusion, he said:

“Peace is possible only when India stops its anti-minority and war-mongering policies, and dares to face its internal problems.”
