Oil Tanker Explosion in Noshki: 40+ Injured
Noshki : An oil tanker filled with oil exploded after a fire broke out near a truck depot in Noshki district of Balochistan, resulting in more than 40 people being burned and injured.
According to the district administration, the incident occurred when efforts were being made to control the fire in the oil tanker tank.
A nearby fire brigade vehicle also caught fire during the explosion.
According to rescue sources, the injured have been shifted to a local hospital for first aid, from where the seriously injured are being transferred to Quetta by helicopter.
The administration says that the fire brigade personnel and four policemen present at the scene have also been injured in the explosion,
While several people near the oil tanker have suffered 70 to 80 percent burns.
Rescue operations are underway at the truck base and surrounding area following the incident, while the affected area has been completely sealed off.
