OGRA Approves Increase In Gas Prices
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has approved an increase in gas prices for the current financial year.
In a statement issued by OGRA, it has been said that an 8.71 percent increase in gas prices has been approved for Sui Northern Gas Company and a 25.78 percent increase has been approved for Sui Southern.
The statement says that the average gas price for the Sui Northern system has been approved at Rs 1,778.35 per MMBTU.

According to the OGRA statement, OGRA has sent the decision to the federal government and the final decision on the price increase will be made after the advice of the federal government.
It should be noted that gas companies had demanded an increase in gas prices of up to 208.67 percent, on which OGRA had held a public hearing on the requests of gas companies last month.
