OGDCL Has Started Gas Production In Balochistan

Gas production has started from a well located in Dera Bugti, Balochistan.

OGDCL says that five million standard cubic feet of gas are produced from the well daily.

The gas production plant has been successfully connected to the gas processing plant.

OGDCL informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange in this regard through a letter, saying that the well is 100% owned by OGDC.

It may be recalled that earlier this year, PPL announced the discovery of gas from the well Tour One discovered in the Latif block in Khairpur district of Sindh.

Last year, PPL started hydrocarbon production from the Adhi South 6 well.

OGDCL focuses on coordinated exploration, drilling, and development efforts, prioritizing accelerated production improvements to strengthen national energy security and promote sustainable development.

According to E&PS’s latest financial results, the company reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 41.02 billion for the quarter ended September 30, 2024, down more than 16% from Rs 49.03 billion for the same period last year (SPLY).

Earnings per share (EPS) for the first quarter of fiscal 2025 was recorded at Rs 9.54, compared to Rs 11.40 in the same period last year.

Last month, OGDCL discovered natural gas reserves in the Shahu One well located in the Khairpur district of Sindh.
