Noman Ali’s 10 Wickets Seal Pakistan’s Win Over South Africa
Pakistan defeated South Africa by 93 runs in the first Test, taking a strong lead in the series.
In the match played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, South Africa, chasing a target of 277 runs, were bowled out for 183.
On the fourth day, play resumed with Tony de Zorzi, the centurion from the first innings, being dismissed LBW by Shaheen Afridi on just the third ball for 16 runs. At 55 runs, Tristan Stubbs also fell to Nauman Ali.
Ryan Rickelton and Dewald Brevis built a 73-run partnership, offering some resistance, but Brevis was bowled by Nauman Ali for 54. Soon after, with just 6 runs added to the total, Rickelton (45) was also dismissed.
After the lunch break, South Africa’s batting collapsed rapidly, and the entire team was bowled out for 183 runs.
For Pakistan, Nauman Ali and Shaheen Afridi each claimed four wickets, while Sajid Khan picked up two.
