No More Waste of Resources Allowed: PM
Shahbaz Sharif has said that he will not allow further losses in institutions that are wasting public resources.
A review meeting on the task management system created to monitor and oversee the privatization process of government institutions was held in Islamabad,
which was chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. While reviewing the task management dashboard, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that everyone should work together for the development of Pakistan.
I will not allow further losses in institutions that are wasting the valuable resources of the Pakistani people.
He said that the privatization of domestic institutions is part of the government’s Udan Pakistan initiative. The government’s job is not to do business,
but to provide policy measures and facilities for business and investment. Only with timely necessary reforms are we moving rapidly towards improving the economy.
The Prime Minister said that the privatization process of the specified institutions should be accelerated without compromising on transparency.
The services of lawyers of good reputations should be taken to remove legal obstacles in the privatization process. I am personally monitoring the privatization process and will not accept any kind of delay.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister was given an overview of the task management system created for privatization and was also informed about the specific period for privatization of various institutions.
