No Exam on Youm-e-Takbeer: PM Announce Public Holiday on May 28

The class IX and X exams that were supposed to take place on May 28 have been postponed; new dates will be revealed later. The public holiday Youm-e-Takbeer, which honors Pakistan’s nuclear tests on May 28, 1998, has caused the exam scheduled for May 28, 2024 to be postponed, according to a notification from the Secondary Education Board Karachi. The rescheduled exam date will be revealed later.

The exam set for May 29 will go forward according to the revised schedule that was previously provided. All exams scheduled for May 28 have also been postponed by the University of Karachi. Later on, the revised dates for these postponed exams will be disclosed.

This choice was made in response to the federal government’s announcement of Youm-e-Takbeer as a public holiday. All exams scheduled for May 28 have been postponed, according to a notification from the University of Karachi; new dates will be announced soon.

The Prime Minister said that Youm-e-Takbeer serves as a reminder to the Pakistani people of their unity in order to fortify the nation’s defenses. He said that on this day, the people of the entire country decided not to give in to outside pressure in the name of national security.

According to Shehbaz Sharif, Youm-e-Takbeer serves as a reminder of the political and military forces coming together under the green crescent flag to fortify the nation’s defense. He went on to say that Youm-e-Takbeer is a day to reaffirm our commitment to constantly foil the cunning plans of both foreign and domestic adversaries who want to put the nation in jeopardy through chaotic politics.

The Prime Minister declared that May 28, Youm-e-Takbeer, is a day to honor the efforts of the Pakistan Army and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to fortify Pakistan’s defenses. Shehbaz also honored the scientists who were instrumental in starting and advancing Pakistan’s nuclear program under Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
