New Method Adopted in Lahore to Eliminate Dust
The Punjab Chief Minister has decided to implement a modern method to get rid of air pollution and dust in Lahore on the model of China.
Under this initiative, water sprinkler systems will be installed at 1500 construction sites in Lahore, which was ordered by Maryam Nawaz.
According to details, the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has decided to implement this project practically after successful experiments.
The Punjab Chief Minister has directed the C&W and LDA to immediately install water sprinkler system and has ordered to complete the installation of this system at Gaddafi Stadium by January 15.
It will also be mandatory to cover construction sites with green cloth to prevent the flying of soil, cement, and dust during construction work.
Maryam Aurangzeb said that a case will be registered against those who do not follow the water sprinkler system after February 10.
He expressed his determination that this innovative method of water sprinklers and mist system will further accelerate and improve the elimination of smog.
He added that the Environmental Protection Agency has been fighting the battle to eliminate air pollution for the past nine months, and for this to succeed, the cooperation of citizens, the use of modern machinery, and a change in attitudes are necessary.
This decision will prove to be an important step in reducing air pollution in Lahore and improving the city’s environment.
Various methods must be adopted to avoid air pollution so that we can live in a healthy environment:
Water sprinkler system:
Like the water sprinklers being used in Lahore, this method reduces the flying of dust and dirt, which reduces air pollution.
Use of public transport:
It is better to use public transport instead of personal vehicles, as it ensures fewer vehicles on the roads and reduces carbon emissions.
Increase in green spaces:
Trees and greenery help in reducing air pollution. Planting more trees and establishing parks play an important role in improving air quality.
Use of air filters:
Use air purifiers in homes and offices, which filter and clean the harmful substances present in the air.
Preventive management of smoke-emitting industries:
It is important to monitor and clean smoke-emitting machines and equipment in factories and industrial sites so that they do not cause air pollution.
Avoiding the use of open fires and coal:
Reduce the use of open fires or coal, as the smoke produced by them increases air pollution.
Environmental safety during tourism:
It is also important to improve cleaning arrangements at tourist sites and educate local communities about environmental protection.
Reducing waste through composting:
Converting food waste and other compostable materials into compost helps eliminate air pollution.
Use green technology:
Use more alternative energy such as solar panels or wind energy to reduce air pollution.
Take care of personal health:
Wearing a mask and staying indoors when the intensity of air pollution is high is beneficial for health.
If we make these practices a part of daily life, we can reduce air pollution and provide a healthy environment.
