New Airlines Seek CAA Nod To Operate Flights In Pakistan

“Several new airlines are considering launching operations in various cities in Pakistan, according to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

New local airlines including Jet Green, Q Airways, and Go Green Air have approached the CAA for licenses and permits. Additionally, Air Indus has contacted the CAA to resume flight operations, while Q Aviation and Liberty Air have applied for licenses to launch flight operations in Pakistan.

The CAA officials stated that many license applications are significant for the country’s economy. The influx of new airlines is expected to provide passengers with better travel options, increase foreign exchange in the aviation sector, and create new job opportunities.

It’s worth noting that Airblue, SereneAir, and AirSial are already operating in Pakistan. In a recent report by the CAA covering the period from July to December 2023, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) secured the fourth position in the rankings with a departure and arrival ratio of 89.32 percent, indicating potential for further enhancement in operational efficiency.”
