The government has once again initiated contact with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and there is a possibility of a meeting between Nawaz Sharif and the JUI-F leader. According to PML-N sources, PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif is expected to meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence along with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. The meeting could take place at any time today.
It is said that Nawaz Sharif intends to discuss several important issues related to constitutional amendments with Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The government has failed to bring Maulana Fazlur Rehman into confidence regarding constitutional amendments. It has also been revealed that PTI has contacted the JUI-F chief and is expected to meet with Maulana today. Furthermore, Maulana Fazlur Rehman will schedule talks with the opposition after meeting with government officials.
