The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced a significant facilitation for overseas Pakistanis. According to a statement issued by NADRA, counters have been activated in several countries, allowing Pakistani citizens to access services conveniently.
NADRA counters are now operational in Montreal and Vancouver (Canada), Milan (Italy), Manama (Bahrain), and Amman (Jordan). Additionally, a counter will soon be opened in Rome (Italy).
Under the new regulations, every Pakistani can now verify that no unauthorized or unrelated person has been registered or deleted in their family data.
NADRA spokesperson Syed Shabahat Ali explained in a podcast interview that there are three main reasons an unrelated person may appear in a family record: deliberately adding someone as a family member, offering money or fraud incentives, or due to error.
He further stated that before June 19, 2025, Pakistani citizens had to apply at NADRA offices to check their Family Registration Certificate (RC). Under the new system, citizens can now view their RC at NADRA offices free of charge.
Moreover, NADRA’s Pak ID application now includes all family details, allowing citizens to conveniently access this information from home.
