Multinational Naval Exercise Begins In Pakistan
The 9th Multinational Naval Exercise Aman 2025 was officially inaugurated with an impressive and colorful flag-hoisting ceremony held at Pakistan Navy Dockyard, Karachi.
Exercise Aman 2025 was inaugurated by hoisting the flags of the participating countries simultaneously.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of the senior military leadership of the participating countries, observers, diplomats, and officials of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
A message from Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf was read out during the ceremony. In his message, the Naval Chief extended a warm welcome to the participants of Exercise Aman 2025.
He emphasized that Exercise Aman is a regular activity in which regional and international navies participate to create a safe and conducive maritime environment for uninterrupted maritime activities in the region.
The Naval Chief further emphasized in his message that the Pakistan Navy, being a key stakeholder in the Arabian Sea, has taken several initiatives to improve regional maritime security.
Regional Maritime Security Patrols (RMSP) is one such initiative of the Pakistan Navy. Furthermore, he highlighted that Peace Dialogue is also being conducted along with the Peace Exercise due to the trust placed by the international community in our efforts to promote peace and security at sea.
Speaking on the occasion, Commander Pakistan Fleet Rear Admiral Abdul Muneeb highlighted the efforts of the Pakistan Navy in global maritime security.
Commander Pakistan Fleet also highlighted the importance of the exercise in promoting cooperation among the participating countries.
Furthermore, he expressed his desire to enhance cooperation among the participating countries to achieve the objectives of the exercise and hoped that this exercise would prove to be mutually beneficial for all the participating countries.
He appreciated the participating countries for supporting Pakistan’s efforts to maintain peace and order at sea. Commander Pakistan Fleet, describing the hoisting of flags of participating countries from all over the world as a symbol of the exercise’s motto “United for Peace”, expressed hope that the friendship that started here will further develop.
Exercise Aman 2025; is the ninth exercise of the Aman series and will continue from 7 to 11 February 2025.
Naval and aircraft ships, special operations forces, and a large number of observers from about 60 countries are participating in this exercise.
In addition, the first Aman Dialogue is also being organized on 9-10 February as part of the exercise. During the Aman Dialogue, naval chiefs and senior representatives of the participating countries will devise innovative solutions to address maritime challenges and maritime security issues.
