Military Court Sentences 60 More ‘Culprits’ Over Involvement In May 9 Riots
More criminals involved in the May 9 tragedy sentenced
In light of the Supreme Court’s decision, the Field General Court Martial sentenced 60 more criminals involved in the May 9 tragedy.
The Field General Court Martial examined all the evidence, ensured the legal rights of the criminals acted according to the legal requirements, and handed down the sentences.
The details of the 60 criminals who were sentenced are as follows:
1. Hassan Khan Niazi son of Hafizullah Niazi, involved in the Jinnah House attack, sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment
2. Mian Ibad Farooq son of Amanat Ali, involved in the Jinnah House attack, sentenced to 2 years of rigorous imprisonment
3. Raees Ahmed son of Shafiullah, involved in the Jinnah House attack, sentenced to 6 years of rigorous imprisonment
4. Arzam Junaid son of Junaid Razzaq, involved in the Jinnah House attack, sentenced to 6 years of rigorous imprisonment
5. Ali Raza son of Ghulam Mustafa, involved in the Jinnah House attack, sentenced to 6 years of rigorous imprisonment
6. Raja Danish son of Raja Abdul Waheed, involved in the GHQ attack, sentenced to 4 years in prison with hard labor
