Massive Oil & Gas Discovery in Waziristan: Production Begins
Great news for the energy sector in the Waziristan region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa! Oil and gas production has started from the Shiva well,which was confirmed by Mari Energies through a letter to the stock exchange.
According to Mari Energies, 26 million cubic feet of gas is being added to the system from the Shiva well daily, while 244 barrels of crude oil are also being obtained daily.
This reservoir has also been connected to the Sui Northern system, which has created hope of reducing the energy crisis at the national level.
In terms of investment in the Shiva well, Mari Energies holds 55 percent, OGDC 35 percent, and Orient Petroleum 10 percent.
