Malaysian PM Concludes Three-Day Visit To Pakistan

Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim left for Malaysia after completing his three-day visit to Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan bid farewell to the Malaysian Prime Minister and his delegation at Noor Khan Air Base.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at PM House Islamabad during his visit, where he was warmly welcomed.

Shahbaz Sharif and Anwar Ibrahim also participated in the Pakistan Malaysia Business Forum, the Prime Minister of Malaysia was also awarded Nishan Pakistan by the President of Pakistan.

In this regard, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan and Malaysia have long-standing and brotherly relations spanning decades.

It was agreed with the Prime Minister of Malaysia to further strengthen Pakistan-Malaysia relations. Anwar Ibrahim is an admirer of poet Allama Iqbal, which is a matter of pride for Pakistan.

Shahbaz Sharif said that he is deeply grateful for the good words and good wishes of the Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim for the Pakistani people and government.

In the Pakistan-Malaysia Business Forum, there was positive progress on the promotion of trade between the two countries, the promotion of Pakistan-Malaysia trade will increase domestic exports and create new employment opportunities.

He said that a new chapter in Pakistan-Malaysia relations started with the visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister, and memorandums of understanding and agreements were exchanged between the two countries for the promotion of trade and investment.

Shahbaz Sharif further said that the export of processed meat and rice from Pakistan to Malaysia will be increased and the procedure will be simplified.

During Anwar Ibrahim’s visit to Pakistan, it was agreed between the two countries to increase cooperation in information technology and the production and trade of electric vehicles.
