Malaysia Introduces E-Visa for Pakistani Tourists
Malaysia has introduced an online visa service (e-visa) for Pakistani citizens who want to enter the country for tourism purposes.
Pakistani citizens can apply for an e-visa with a validity of 6 months as per Malaysian laws.
It is an online platform through which foreign citizens can obtain a visa to enter Malaysia at their convenience.
Documents required for a Malaysian visit visa:
- Passport-sized photograph
- Proof of hotel booking or accommodation
- Passport
- E-visa fee and processing charges
- Proof of funds required for travel expenses
- Return ticket
The Malaysian e-visa fee has been set at 200 Malaysian ringgits, which is approximately Rs. 1,258 in Pakistani currency, until February 15, 2025.
In addition, the visa processing fee is 105 ringgit (which is Rs. 6,605 in Pakistani rupees), which the applicant must pay via debit or credit card.

E-Visa – for tourist or short-term stay
Visa on Arrival – under certain conditions
Sticker Visa – through the embassy
2. Apply online (for E-Visa)
If you want to apply for an e-visa, follow these steps:
Visit the website: Malaysia eVisa Website
Create an account: Complete the registration by entering your details.
Complete the form: Enter the necessary information and travel details.
Upload documents:
Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
Passport size photo
Proof of hotel booking or accommodation
Return ticket
Bank statement or proof of financial means for travel expenses
Pay the fee: Submit the visa and processing fee via debit or credit card
Apply: Visa processing can take 3 to 7 days.
