Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik has been appointed DGISI.
According to the details, the Prime Minister has appointed Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik as the new Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence. He will replace Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum who is about to retire.
Asim Malik will assume his new responsibility on September 30. Lieutenant General Asim is performing the duties of Adjutant General.
Lt Gen Asim has previously commanded the Infantry Division in Balochistan and the Infantry Brigade in Waziristan. He has also received honorary swords in his course.
Apart from this, he has also been posted as Chief Instructor NDU and Instructor Command and Staff College Quetta. Lt Gen Asim is also a graduate of Fort Elevenworth and Royal College of Defense Studies.
