Lower Kurram Protest: Tal-Parachinar Highway Shut for 7 Days
After the firing and sit-in on a government convoy in Kurram, the highway from Tal to Parachinar is still closed today and people are waiting for the convoys to arrive.
According to Express News, the Tal to Parachinar main highway is still closed due to the sit-in in Lower Kurram Mandori. The protesters staging
a sit-in on the highway say that the main highway will remain closed until their demands are approved.
Due to the closure of the main highway, more convoys of Kurram food items are waiting in Tal and the drivers have been waiting to go to Parachinar for seven days.
According to the district administration, negotiations are ongoing with the Mandori sit-in protesters from time to time. As soon as the negotiations are successful, they will send a second convoy of food items to Kurram.
