Lahore Qalandars Clinch Third PSL Title in Style

Lahore: In the thrilling final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Lahore Qalandars performed brilliantly and defeated Quetta Gladiators to win the title for the third time.

In the final match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Quetta Gladiators captain Saud Shakeel won the toss and decided to bat first.

Quetta scored 201 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, thus Lahore was given a target of 202 runs to win.

Hassan Nawaz played a fine innings of 76 runs for Quetta, while Ushka Fernando scored 29 and Dinesh Chandimal scored 22 runs.

In the end, Faheem Ashraf played a key role in improving the score by scoring 28 runs in just 7 balls.

For Lahore, captain Shaheen Shah Afridi took 3 wickets, while Salman Mirza and Haris Rauf took 2 wickets each. Sikandar Raza and Rashad Hussain dismissed one player each.

In the reply innings, Lahore Qalandars started batting cautiously. Fakhar Zaman was out lbw after scoring 11 runs.

Mohammad Naeem played an aggressive game and scored 47 runs off 27 balls with the help of 6 sixes and a four. Usama Tariq also played an innings of 41 runs.

The Qalandars’ batting line-up certainly faced some difficulties; however, in the closing moments, Sikandar Raza scored an unbeaten 22 runs off just 7 balls and led the team to victory.

Mohammad Amir, Faheem Ashraf, Abrar Ahmed, and Usman Tariq took one wicket each for Quetta.

Quetta’s squad was changed before the final, and due to injury, Khurram Shahzad was included in the team in place of Wasim Junior.

Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi expressed confidence before the match, saying that the team includes all experienced players and Sikandar Raza has been specially made a part of the team for today.
