Lack of Aircraft Causes Disruptions to Lahore Airport Flights Operations

On Sunday, a lack of planes and other factors impacted Lahore Airport’s flight operations. Nine planes have been delayed and two flights to and from Lahore have been cancelled.

A fire broke out at the Allama Iqbal foreign Airport, briefly disrupting aircraft operations, particularly foreign flights.

The problem could result in “delays, cancellations, or rescheduling” of flights, according to a representative for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Before leaving for the airport, passengers are urged to make contact with the airlines they would be flying with. The spokesman emphasised the need of getting in touch with the airlines before heading to the airport.

The spokeswoman stated, “The airport authorities are working quickly to restore civil aviation flight operations as soon as possible.”

The statement went on to say that maintaining travellers’ safety and wellbeing continues to be their “top priority.”

The CAA spokeswoman was cited by the Associated Press of Pakistan as stating that the immigration system maintenance window at the Lahore airport has been extended until 10:00 p.m.

The CAA representative asserted that domestic and cargo operations may continue as usual at the Lahore airport.
