Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government considering contacting Elon Musk to solve internet problems
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has started considering contacting renowned technology expert and Starlink founder Elon Musk to solve the problem of slow internet speed across the province.
Talking to the media, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information Technology Shafqat Ayaz said that slow internet speed is not only causing public problems but is also hindering the development of the province’s IT sector.
He said that the government will seek cooperation not only from Elon Musk but also from other international experts and institutions to solve this problem on a priority basis.
In this regard, the possibility of using Starlink’s satellite internet services is being examined to improve internet provision.
Shafqat Ayaz described slow internet speed as a serious problem and said that IT students, freelancers, and digital entrepreneurs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are facing difficulties due to this.
He added that a comprehensive study is being conducted to identify the root causes of this problem and the government will soon try to find a lasting solution to it.
According to government sources, the main objective of Starlink satellite internet services is to provide high-speed internet to those areas of the world where traditional internet services are not available or insufficient.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government wants to make high-speed internet accessible even in remote and backward areas through this technology.
The people have welcomed this government initiative and expressed hope that it will open the way for digital development in the province.
The people say that if this project is implemented, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can achieve an important place in the digital economy.
