KP government declares a winter break for schools

After winter break schools will reopen 1 March in hilly regions

PESHAWAR: The caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Tuesday announced the winter break schedule for public and private educational institutions situated in plain and hilly areas for the academic year 2023-24.

According to a notification issued by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, all educational institutions plain regions would notice winter vactions from December 23 to 31. The schools would return on January 1, 2024.

While in hilly or cold regions, schools would stay shut from December 23 to February 29, 2024. After the colder time of year break, the instructive foundations would resume on Walk 1 march in the zone.

In a different notice, the KP’s Higher education, Files and Libraries Division reported that the colleges would stay shut from December 23 to 31 in plain regions because of winter break.

It further said that the assortments in bumpy regions would notice winter excursions from December 23 to February 29.
