A crackdown has been launched by the Multan police to prevent kite flying. According to the police spokesman, CPO Sadiq Ali has issued orders for a large-scale crackdown against kite flying.
Actions have been started against kite flyers by forming special teams. Spokesman says that parents should also keep a close eye on their children, parents should keep children away from deadly sports like kite flying. Hundreds of lives have been lost due to the use of metal strings. According to the Multan police, kite flying can be punished with three years imprisonment, a fine of Rs 1 lakh, or both.
