A man has proposed marriage to an American woman who came to Pakistan after falling in love with a 19-year-old young man.

A citizen of Karachi has shown conditional consent to marry an American woman.

In a video that has surfaced on social media, the citizen introduced himself and said, ‘My name is Abdul Rahim, I am currently a driver by profession but I am also a retired employee.

The citizen said, ‘I have also sent a message to my wife that I will get married if I get permission. By the way, in Islam, it is not necessary to ask a wife for a second marriage, but I have still told my wife that I am ready to marry a woman.

Abdul Rahim also stated his condition for marrying an American woman and said that my only condition is that if she is Hindu or Christian, she should convert to Islam.

Background of the incident

A woman named Onija Andrew Robbins fell in love with 19-year-old Nidal Ahmed Memon, a resident of Karachi’s Garden area, through social media, after which the mother of two children arrived in Karachi on October 11. However, the young man agreed to marry the American woman, but her family refused the marriage.

The woman remained in Karachi for several months and then her return ticket expired. After the visit visa expired, the ASF handed over the American woman to the airport police.

An NGO also provided the woman with a ticket and financial assistance for her return to the United States, but she refused to return and reached the young man’s house and camped in the building.
