Jane Marriott Meets Bilal Kayani to Boost UK–Pakistan Ties

Jane Marriott, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, along with Senior Government Adviser Matt Clancy, met with Bilal Azhar Kayani, Minister of State for Finance and Railways, at the Ministry of Finance on Friday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing economic cooperation, and issues of mutual interest, including Pakistan’s macroeconomic development.

Minister Bilal Kayani stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is committed to turning economic stability into sustainable growth. He also highlighted that rapid progress is being made to modernize Pakistan Railways and transform it into a modern, efficient institution.

Jane Marriott welcomed the growing partnership between the United Kingdom and Pakistan. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to maintaining close engagement to further strengthen Pakistan–UK relations.
