ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif says that it is a pity that despite security assurances to China, the Karachi incident took place in which 2 Chinese engineers were killed.
Addressing the Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said that a message of concern was received from China after the Bisham incident and assured China that foolproof security will be provided to Chinese citizens.
The Prime Minister said that he was assured by going to China that the government has taken strict security measures but still an incident like Karachi happened which is a conspiracy against the country.
He said that the Federation is being attacked day and night and in 2014, a sit-in was held at D Chowk for several months to postpone the visit of the Chinese President. This is a continuation of what the enemy had in 2014.
The Prime Minister said that PTI has not taken these matters seriously, who will come and invest where there will be sit-ins and arson.
Conspiracies are being made to cut the roots of the country and this group does not approve the development of Pakistan. They are worried that if the economy recovers, who will ask us.
He said that the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Pakistan has been very successful, Malaysia expressed its commitment regarding halal meat and rice, now the delegation of Saudi Arabia is coming to visit Pakistan soon.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan is getting the opportunity of hospitality after many years of SCO but Chinese friends were targeted on the occasion of SCO to spoil the relations between Pakistan and China.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made it clear that just as the Chinese President’s visit to Pakistan was postponed, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will not be allowed to do so.
Earlier, a federal cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was held in which important decisions were approved.
In the cabinet meeting, the political and economic situation of the country is being discussed while the preparations for the SCO conference are also being reviewed. The federal cabinet is also being briefed on the implementation of e-systems in all ministries.
