Israel Attacks Qatar

Israel Attacks QatarIsrael has reportedly carried out an attack on the Gulf state of Qatar. According to open-source intelligence, six explosions were heard in the Qatari capital, Doha, while some sources claim the number of blasts may have been as many as twelve. The strikes allegedly targeted the leadership of Hamas, which maintains a political office in Doha.

It remains unclear how many casualties, if any, resulted from the attack. This is not the first time Israel has targeted Hamas outside its borders; previously, Israel struck Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas’s political wing, in Iran. However, this marks the first time Israel has conducted a direct attack on a developed Gulf country.
