Islamabad’s Red Zone Sealed Ahead Of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Protest Against Inflation

In Givenamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in and PTI’s call for protest, the government imposed Section 144 in Islamabad and sealed the red zone.

The district administration has delivered containers to D Chowk, Murree Road has been completely closed, containers are also present on Isthe Islamabad Expressway, and tizens are facing difficulties due to the closure of central highways.

It should be noted that Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has announced a sit-in at Islamabad D Chowk against expensive electricity contracts, and er-billing, in which a large number of people have started arriving in Islamabad to participate.

Amir Jamaat-e-Islami says that the city will be peaceful on a sit-in in power, and the participants will not return without taking relief.

The government should not obstruct the sit-in, the government will be responsible if the situation worsens, people are paying the bills by selling their household items, and people want to get rid of IPPs.

On the other hand, Islamabad Police has sealed the Red Zone with containers ingivenamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in.

Containers were placed at Nadra Chowk, Sarina Chowk, and Xpand Dress Chowk in Islamabad to seal the red zone. The police say that no protest is allowed due to the implementation of Section 144 in the capital.

Meanwhile, during the sit-in, the police raided various areas of Punjab and arrested several leaders and activists.

The police raided the house of Jamaat-e-Islami Central Secretary General Ameerul-Azeem, the police could not arrest Ameerul-Azeem, but arrested his driver Shaukat Mehmood and took him with him.

InTotop Jamaat-e-Islami from staging a sit-in, the police also raided the homes of Amir Lahore Ziauddin Ansari and other officials.

On this occasion, the senior leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, Amir-ul-Azeem, said that he condemns the raids on the houses of Jamaat-e-Islami leaders, police brutality continues in other districts including Lahore.
