Islamabad: Traffic Officer Martyred In Firing

Unknown motorcyclists opened fire on a traffic policeman in Sector I-9, Islamabad late last night martyred him, and fled.

According to a spokesperson for the Federal Police, Traffic Police Constable Zubair was martyred on the spot after being shot. An investigation has been started after collecting evidence from the scene.

Search operations are conducted in different areas to arrest the accused, and special teams conduct raids.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, while paying tribute to the martyred official, expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family,

In his statement, he said that he stands with the bereaved family in this hour of grief, they will be fully taken care of and justice will be ensured.

The Interior Minister also directed that the accused who opened fire be brought to justice immediately.

Federal Interior Minister pays tribute to martyred traffic official, assures justice

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to traffic police officer Zubair Shah, who was martyred in the firing by unknown assailants in Sector I-9 of the federal capital on Sunday.

Expressing his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the martyr, he said that the government stands with the grieving family in this hour of grief.

Mohsin Naqvi directed the concerned authorities to arrest the accused as soon as possible and bring them to justice so that justice can be provided to the family of Zubair Shah.

He further assured that the government will fully support the families of the martyrs and will not leave them alone.

Saluting the sacrifice of Zubair Shah, the Interior Minister said that his services will always be remembered.
