Ishaq Dar Busts Fake News on Nuclear Attack Claims
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has strongly rejected the fake news spreading on social media in the context of Iran-Israel tensions, saying that Pakistan’s nuclear and missile program is purely defensive and only for the protection of the country’s borders and peace and stability in the region.
Addressing the Senate, he said that Iran had made a conditional offer of talks after the Israeli attack, which Pakistan conveyed to the relevant countries.
He said that if Israel is stopped, Iran may still be willing to hold talks, and Pakistan is ready to facilitate.
Ishaq Dar clarified that Pakistan has not made any statement regarding a nuclear attack on Israel, and all such news is false, misleading, and dangerous.
He said that a fake clip of Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and an old statement of Netanyahu from 2011 are being circulated on social media to wrongly drag Pakistan into war.
The Foreign Minister said that war is not a spectacle; we have to show responsibility.
He added that the Foreign Office has not issued any statement on the Israel-Iran tension, and the images circulating in this regard are also AI-generated and fake.
He warned that Pakistan’s armed forces are on alert, and warned Israel not to dare look at Pakistan with a malicious eye.
