Internet Disruptions Could Cost Pakistan $300M

Pakistan Software Houses Association (PASHA) says that the economic damage caused by the internet firewall in Pakistan may exceed 30 million dollars.

In a statement, Pasha says that firewall enforcement has already caused internet outages.

Firewall implementation has caused poor VPN performance, slow internet, and poor VPN performance has caused huge business losses.

Pasha says that these obstacles are not just inconveniences, they are a direct attack on the development of IT.

The government should consult the IT industry for a cybersecurity framework.

On the other hand, Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima says that governments worldwide install firewalls for cyber security, before the firewall there was a web management system, and now the government is updating the system.

Shaza Fatima said that a firewall is installed to avoid cyber security attacks, she will inform soon how many cyber attacks have taken place.

Earlier there were only complaints about the slowness of WhatsApp, data has been sought from internet service providers regarding the slowness of the internet.
