Interior Minister Visits Police Academy, Announces Upgrade

Islamabad: After many years, the National Police Academy was heard, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced the upgradation of the National Police Academy.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the National Police Academy and made a detailed inspection of the academy hostel and mess and reviewed the facilities provided for the officers under training.

Mohsin Naqvi met the officers under training and inquired about the facilities. He checked the quality of food by eating at the Police Academy mess and praised the food.

Later, a high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Mohsin Naqvi regarding the reorganization of the National Police Academy, in which the head of the National Police Academy and relevant officials were also present.

During the meeting, the Interior Minister directed to provide quality accommodation facilities to the officers under training and sought the master plan of the National Police Academy.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that first of all, a new master plan for the NPA should be prepared by an international standard consultant,

A check of Rs 250 million will be handed over to the NPA soon by the National Police Foundation.

He said that the National Police Academy has to be made a financially independent institution, and the work of restructuring the academy should be completed within three months.

Mohsin Naqvi directed to take necessary steps immediately to give the National Police Academy the status of a university and said that the courses of ASPs have to be made according to the requirements of the modern era.

The Interior Minister said that courses will also be launched in the academy in anti-terrorism, anti-riots, cyber and other fields,

The best officers will be appointed in the National Police Academy like the Military Academy Kakul, and the officers appointed to the police academy will be provided with better allowances and facilities.

He said that model police stations and training laboratories will also be built in the National Police Academy so that officers can be trained in this regard.

Mohsin Naqvi further said that the National Police Academy should be made an international standard institution, and officers from other countries will come to the National Police Academy for training.
