India’s ‘New Normal’ to Face New Military Response: Field Marshal

Under the chairmanship of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the 272nd Corps Commanders Conference was held at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, where the Pakistan Army reaffirmed its resolve to deliver a robust and decisive response to any act of aggression. The conference opened with a Fatiha for the soldiers martyred in recent terrorist attacks reportedly sponsored by India.

Field Marshal Munir praised the Army’s determination, courage and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and highlighted the force’s effective role alongside civil authorities during recent flood rescue and relief operations. The forum reviewed nationwide counter-terrorism operations, emerging threats, and operational preparedness, and resolved to dismantle India-sponsored militant networks at all levels.

Expressing deep concern over recent provocative statements by Indian leaders, the forum warned that India’s bellicose rhetoric poses a serious threat to regional peace and stability. It made clear that any attempt by India to establish a “new normal” will be met with a new and effective military response, and that any aggression will receive an immediate, strong and decisive reply.

The conference also commended Pakistan’s recent high-level diplomatic engagements, welcomed the historic Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement with Saudi Arabia as a milestone in defence cooperation, and reiterated support for the legitimate struggle of the people of Indian-administered Jammu & Kashmir in accordance with UN resolutions. It voiced continued, unwavering support for the Palestinian people, calling for an immediate ceasefire and rapid delivery of humanitarian aid.

Field Marshal Munir instructed all commanders to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline, physical fitness, innovation and rapid response, affirming that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to counter conventional, unconventional and hybrid threats.
