India’s Diplomatic Defeat, Pakistan’s Strategic Win
Pakistan once again achieved a diplomatic victory in the UN Security Council, while India faced a rebuff.
Contrary to India’s wishes, the statement condemning the Pahalgam attack could not include strong language, which is very angry with the Indian media.
This statement by the Security Council was made at the United States’s suggestion, but due to Pakistan’s effective diplomatic strategy, controversial words could not be included. As a result, the word “all relevant authorities” was used instead of “India.”
In addition, Pakistan, through diplomatic efforts, also got the mention of “Jammu and Kashmir” included in the statement, while India wanted only “Pahalgam” to be mentioned.
It should be noted that the spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General had recently said that the UN is monitoring the situation in the region with deep concern and has appealed to both countries to exercise restraint.
