In another polio case in Balochistan, a child paralyzed

The National Institute of Health has reported another case of polio in Balochistan. A 52-month-old child from the Chaman district has been paralyzed by the wild poliovirus type one. The child had a stroke on February 29th. This is the second case of polio in Pakistan in 2024 and the first in Chaman in almost four years. Ten positive samples of the virus have been reported from Chaman since October 2023. The first case of 2024 was reported on March 14th from Dera Bugti .
