Imran Khan’s Wife Bushra Bibi and Sister Aleema Khan Reportedly Clash During Adiala Jail Hearing

A heated exchange reportedly took place between former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, and his sister, Aleema Khan, during a court hearing at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail. The altercation allegedly interrupted the proceedings of the Toshakhana reference case on Monday.

Sources from the jail revealed that the dispute occurred in the family section of the prison, where voices of women arguing were clearly heard. The commotion reportedly interrupted Imran Khan’s discussion with journalists on three separate occasions.

The conflict allegedly started after Aleema Khan made remarks in court about a female lawyer, which led to a sharp response from Bushra Bibi and her daughters. As the argument escalated, tensions flared, resulting in a heated verbal exchange between the two women. The situation became more intense when Bushra Bibi’s granddaughter began to cry during the argument.

During his conversation with journalists, Imran Khan claimed that the ongoing drama surrounding the arrest of former spymaster Lt Gen Faiz Hameed was a deliberate attempt to push him into a military court. He expressed doubts about the investigation targeting the former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief concerning the unrest on May 9. Khan suggested that authorities were pressuring General Hameed to confess and implicate him in a larger conspiracy.

However, Imran Khan asserted that if General Hameed had indeed ordered his arrest or was involved in the theft of CCTV footage from May 9, he should face the consequences. The former prime minister voiced concerns that the ex-ISI chief might be coerced into becoming a state witness against him.

Khan claimed that the authorities were attempting to drag him into military courts because other cases against him had collapsed. He also reflected on his time as prime minister, acknowledging his unwavering support for General Bajwa but suggesting that he had been misled about the capabilities of certain Corps Commanders.
