The missing case of poet Ahmed Farhad was heard in Islamabad High Court. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of Islamabad High Court heard the case, Ahmed Farhad’s lawyer Iman Mazari gave arguments in the court, while representatives of the Ministry of Defense and related officials appeared in the court. Ahmed Farhad’s lawyer Iman Mazari told the court during the hearing that Ahmad Farhad’s wife Urooj Zainab received a WhatsApp call and was told to withdraw her application in the court and give a statement that Ahmad Farhad had gone of his own free will.
Then Farhad will return on Saturday, this is a case of enforced disappearance if the kidnapping was for ransom, then they would have asked for money. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said that they need a servant now in any case, a man has been kidnapped and kept. Remove the label of abductor from yourself, the Secretary of Defense should appear in person, otherwise an arrest warrant will be issued. The Islamabad High Court gave time to the authorities till 3 o’clock. He appeared and said that the hostage is not with the ISI, the ISI is accused, but they are denying the accusation.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said that now the matter has gone out of the jurisdiction of the institutions, they are talking about their failure. The Secretary of Defense should write his report and submit his report, Secretary of Interior and Defense should appear in court, when I give the judgment, this matter will be different from kidnapping. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani further said that this matter is so simple and easy.
