iCube Qamar Will Reach The Moon’s Orbit Today

Pakistan’s space mission iCube Qamar will reach the moon’s orbit today between 3.30 and 4.30 pm. The space mission will evaluate the subsystems in-orbit testing and verification. The first image of the Moon by iCube Qamar is expected to be received by May 15 or 16.

After that, the analysis and research of the Moon will begin. Many Pakistani scientific experts and engineers including Dr. Qamarul Salam and Dr. Khurram Khurshid, the head of the mission, are present in China. The iCube Qamar was launched from China on May 3. Sources say that acquiring images from the moon is a technically complex process. A satellite imaging system is to be operationalized. Previously it could take more than a week to verify all relevant subsystems
