Addressing the farewell full court reference in his honor in the Supreme Court, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faiz Isa has said that we follow the law and papers, what is the truth, the one above knows.
Justice Qazi Faiz Isa said in the beginning of his speech that I want to speak in Urdu. I will not talk about the Constitution and the law, I will talk about some things that you may not know. He said that first of all thanks to Allah Ta’ala, who gave me the position. I am also grateful to those not here today for the ceremony.
He said that thankfully, my wife is present today, and she herself has heard my praises. Thanks to Chaudhry Iftikhar, who selected me for the Balochistan High Court. There was no teacher in the Balochistan High Court; I learned from the lawyers. I was 16 years old when my father died. My grandmother was not literate but gave her children the best education. My mother said, “First, do your degree, and then do whatever you want.”
Justice Qazi Faiz Isa further said that he married after completing his degree and started lawyering. One day Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry called and said you should take over Balochistan. He told the Chief Justice that no one can make a decision without the will of his wife. He also went with his wife to those districts of Balochistan where he was forbidden to go.
Addressing the full court reference, the Chief Justice said that my niece said that the friends were angry as to why they demolished the restaurant at Margalla Hills. Granddaughter Safia told them that it was a home for birds and animals and they should be taken care of. If the environment is not good, it will be difficult for animals and humans to live in the world.
The Chief Justice said that my first job in the Supreme Court was the selection of the registrar, which proved to be correct. I am grateful to all the staff working with me. While listening to the case, one has to guess what is true and what is false. We follow the law and the papers, what is the truth, the one above knows. On this occasion, the Chief Justice also read out a letter written by a woman from England based on her appreciation.
Later, Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa arrived at the inauguration ceremony of the monument at the Supreme Court. On this occasion, nominated Chief Justice Yahya Afridi and other judges also participated. Justice Qazi Faiz Isa said in the ceremony that this place was vacant in the Supreme Court. People come here from distant cities to take pictures on the street. This monument is for the public. The architect who is building my house, volunteered for the job.
