Heavy Rain Predicted in Upper Pakistan Today
Islamabad: According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is predicted in Kashmir, Islamabad, northeast Punjab, the Pothohar region, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday, while the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in other parts of the country.
Rainfall occurred in various areas of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir yesterday (Sunday).
The highest rainfall was recorded in Karachi’s Surjani Town area at 36 mm and Sheikhupura at 35 mm.
In terms of temperature, the highest heat was felt in Sibi, Jacobabad, and Dalbandi,n where the mercury reached 44 degrees Celsius.
Thunderstorms and rain are expected in various areas, including Murree, Galiyat, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Mianwali, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Swat, and Mansehra today, Monday, while the weather is predicted to be partly cloudy and hot in South Punjab, Interior Sindh, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
