Today marks the most sacred day of Hajj 2025 – the Day of Arafah – a profound spiritual experience for more than 1.5 million pilgrims gathered at Mount Arafat, the heart of the pilgrimage. This day, the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, is when Allah draws near to the faithful, forgives sins, and listens to the prayers of His servants.
Delivering the Hajj sermon at Masjid-e-Nimra, Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid urged Muslims worldwide to:
- Honour their promises
- Speak the truth
- Uphold modesty
- Support orphans, widows, and the underprivileged
- Show compassion to parents and neighbours
- Give zakat and remain steadfast in prayer
He reminded the Ummah that good and evil are not equal, and that kindness even to adversaries can transform hearts. The Imam also prayed for the people of Palestine and thanked the Saudi government for facilitating the pilgrimage with care and modern safety measures.
As temperatures soared, Saudi authorities expanded shaded areas, deployed thousands of medical personnel, installed over 400 cooling units, and distributed icepacks to protect pilgrims from heat-related risks—especially after last year’s tragic losses.
After sunset, pilgrims will move to Muzdalifah to collect pebbles for the symbolic stoning of the devil in Mina, continuing the sacred rites of Hajj.
This year, high-tech systems, including 15,000 AI-monitored cameras and strict enforcement against unregistered pilgrims, helped ensure the safety and organization of the massive gathering.
Through heat, tears, and heartfelt duas, millions expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be part of this spiritual journey. For many, including those performing Hajj for the first time, today was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.
🌙 Tawar-e-Pakistan congratulates the entire Muslim Ummah on the blessed occasion of Hajj 2025. May Allah accept the prayers, efforts, and sacrifices of all pilgrims. Hajj Mubarak! 🌙
