Govt Decides To Distribute Ramadan Package In Cash
The federal government has decided to distribute the Prime Minister’s Ramadan package in cash to deserving people across the country. The decision will be implemented in conjunction with the Benazir Income Support Program.
The Business Recorder reported, citing sources, that the government has formed an inter-ministerial committee under the supervision of the Ministry of Industries and Production, which will formulate a strategy for closing the operations of the Utility Stores Corporation and its privatization.
It has been reported that several federal ministers and officials are part of this committee, including the Minister of the Ministry of Industries and Production, the Minister of State for Finance and Revenue, the Minister of State for Information Technology and other important officials.
The committee has completed its recommendations, the main responsibility of which is to prepare a practical procedure for the immediate closure of the operations of the Utility Stores Corporation and fit its permanent employees into alternative or existing vacant posts in other federal government institutions.
The committee has also been directed to prepare a strategy for the provision of the Prime Minister’s Ramadan package in collaboration with BISP, after which the committee has prepared a strategy for the provision of the Prime Minister’s Ramadan package so that deserving people can benefit from this package.
The committee also decided on the safeguarding of the assets and property of the Utility Stores Corporation and other arrangements during its privatization process.
