On the occasion of World Youth Day, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the purpose of celebrating this day is to acknowledge that the youth are the architects of the future.
The Prime Minister said that the youth are the real drivers of change in the world, from theme clicks to development, youth digital pathways to sustainable development. This theme highlights the importance of youth in the age of technology.
He said that Pakistan is a country with a 60% youth population.
As Pakistan increasingly joins the global digital landscape, the youth can become drivers of positive change using technology.
Reaffirms commitment to harnessing the potential of the youth population, creating a youth-friendly environment.
The Prime Minister said that in 2013 we introduced the Youth Loan and Agri-Cultural Scheme, and the Youth Loan and Agri-Cultural Scheme is now yielding results.
He said that 186 billion was disbursed for business among more than 280 thousand youth, Youth Business Loan Scheme was restructured by our government.
Microfinance institutions were incorporated to provide interest-free loans, intending to widen the scope of this initiative.
An additional allocation of Rs 100 billion is planned during FY 2024-25, empowering around 3 lakh young entrepreneurs.
Our youth program is a comprehensive approach project, providing modern technology through a youth laptop scheme, today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders.
The youth will create a bright future for our country.
An empowered youth population will promote individual development, the youth will contribute to the wider socio-economic development of the country.
