The Punjab government has announced to provision free solar system in the annual budget for 2024-25.
In the Punjab Assembly, Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman said in the budget speech that this budget will start a new era of development and prosperity in Punjab.
Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman said that in the first phase, up to 100 units of solar systems are being provided free of cost to domestic consumers, the Punjab government will pay all the costs of installing solar systems, they are giving houses to the poor under the roof of their own homes for 10 billion.
He said that they are introducing a farmer-friendly package of the country’s history, providing 75 billion rupees interest-free loans to 5 lakh farmers, and starting a tubewell solar program for 9 billion.
He said that the Chief Minister Tractor program is being started for 30 billion, and now farmers will be able to own their tractors in easy installments.
The provincial finance minister said in the budget speech that loans are being provided in easy installments for dairy farming in rural areas, a model fish market will be established for 8 billion, and the Chief Minister STG program will be established for 80 billion.
Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman said that development needs will be met at the district level, and 2,380 kilometers of roads will be constructed for 296 billion.
