In order to provide schoolchildren with cutting-edge knowledge of emerging technology, Pakistan’s Ministry of Federal Education is about to embark on a massive undertaking. About 350 schools in the provinces of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu Kashmir, and Islamabad will be implementing this program, called “Emerging Technology Centers.”
As part of its strategic aim to establish Pakistan as a global IT hub, the government has included the tech centers project. The centers will act as catalysts for introducing young pupils to the digital tools and abilities necessary for their future occupations by incorporating cutting-edge technologies like virtual reality (VR), artificial intelligence (AI), and data analytics into the formal education curriculum.
“The Ministry of Federal Education has expressed that the creation of these tech centers is a significant step in equipping our students for the opportunities and challenges of the digital age.” In addition to preparing students for a digital future, our goal is to increase Pakistan’s IT sector capabilities and exports by increasing its skills and capacity.
With the purpose of giving students practical experience with AI, VR, and data analytics, the centers will be furnished with cutting-edge equipment. By creating a pool of highly qualified workers who can support the country’s economic expansion, the project also seeks to close the skill gaps that currently exist in the IT industry.
It is anticipated that the project of the Ministry of Federal Education will have significant effects on educational achievements as well as the nation’s overall technological prowess and export potential.
Two sites, designated as Class A and Class B, will comprise the Emerging Technology Centers. To solve the issues encountered by local workers and freelancers, class A facilities will offer cutting-edge co-working spaces that can double as co-working spaces after hours.
For 40,000 students in 320 middle and high schools, Class B facilities will offer computer science, entrepreneurship, and STEM instruction.
It is anticipated that the initiative will transform Pakistan’s IT environment and open doors for the youth of the country to have better futures.
175 highly skilled Tech Fellows selected through an open competitive process will carry out this project. The service providers provided the training.
As per the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the vast Emerging Technologies Project is being initiated to provide pupils with the most up-to-date technology to rival the digital world.
