Government Sets Policy, Can’t Do Everything: Finance Minister
Karachi: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that the government’s job is to provide a policy framework and the government does not have the capacity to do everything on its own.
Addressing a SECP event in Karachi, Muhammad Aurangzeb said that macroeconomic stability is due to effective policies and the insurance sector is at a good juncture.
He said that regardless of profit or loss, the private sector should run businesses, the government’s job is to provide a policy framework, the government does not have the capacity to do everything on its own.
The Finance Minister said that there has been some innovation in the agriculture sector, and IMF MD Kristalina Georgieva admitted that our economy is moving in the right direction.
