Government Pledged to Provide Education and Skills to Empower Youth: Ahsan Iqbal

Professor Ahsan Iqbal, the federal minister for planning and development, declared on Sunday that the government was dedicated to giving young people access to equal job opportunities, advanced education, and digital training in order to equip them for the challenges of the future.

According to a news release, he underlined that countries with less wealth had overtaken Pakistan due to their political stability and policy continuity.

In contrast, Pakistan has seen governmental instability and a lack of continuity in policy, which have led to internal strife and extremism.

The minister emphasized that long-term, aspirational programs such as Vision 2010 and Vision 2025 were never carried out to their full potential.

Speaking at a University of Narowal event where students received laptops as part of the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme, Professor Iqbal attacked the 2018 elections, calling them rigged and accountable for forcing Pakistan to accept an inept administration.

He claimed that this regime had severely damaged the economy and caused great pain for the 240 million people living in it.

“The current government has brought stability and improvement to various sectors and realigned the country’s direction.” stated Ahsan Iqbal.

Restoring economic connections with China, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, and Qatar is helping to boost the stock market, which is a sign of both local and foreign investors’ faith in the government’s policies.

By giving young people access to a digital platform, the government hopes to catapult Pakistan into the top ten economies in the world by the country’s 100th anniversary, as Professor Iqbal outlined.

Record amounts of funding, he noted, have been set aside for higher education, with plans to build technical education facilities and universities in every area. Students who do not meet the eligibility requirements can still acquire laptops on flexible installment plans. Laptops are provided based on merit. According to him, the project aims to provide young people with digital technologies so they can find work.

He emphasized that Islam represents peace and unity while addressing the problem of intolerance and turmoil in Pakistan, a nation built in the name of Islam. These ideas are demonstrated by the universe’s harmony and order. He said that society can advance and attain peace by embracing these ideas of structure and cooperation.

Ahsan Iqbal expressed delight in the day his research articles are published in international publications and urged the students to pursue research over only earning degrees.

He lauded the University of Narowal as a shining example of economic growth, women’s empowerment, and social advancement.

He noted that numerous university campuses were created in different areas of Balochistan between 2013 and 2018.

He denounced the four-year government that was imposed through stolen elections for seriously harming Pakistan’s economy and society and for utilizing social media to disseminate misinformation and contaminate the minds of the younger generation.

He claimed that the so-called “change government” had only caused destruction, stopping all ongoing projects that had now doubled in cost. He also mentioned that the population had become split due to false information on social media, but we needed to put an end to this unrest. He stated that without peace, stability, policy continuity, and a reform strategy, no nation can advance.

He noted that the administration, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, had quickly changed the direction of the nation, boosting investor confidence and the stock market.

The minister gave about 77 laptops to University of Narowal students as part of the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme.

The minister’s outstanding contributions to education were praised by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Younas Rana, who also expressed gratitude to him for providing the University of Narowal’s students with first-rate learning environments.

Students, parents, Ahmad Iqbal Chaudhry, a member of the Provincial Assembly, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, a member of the National Assembly, Pir Syed Azhar-ul-Hassan Gillani, and prominent individuals from the political, social, and academic domains were present at the occasion.
