KARACHI: After a huge increase in the price of gold in the country, there has been a sudden drop.
According to the details, a decrease in the prices of gold was recorded in the global and local markets, in Pakistan today gold has become cheaper by 1000 rupees per tola.
According to the Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola has decreased by Rs 1000 to Rs 252 thousand 500.
While across the country, the price of 10 grams of gold has decreased by 857 rupees to 2 lakh 16 thousand 478 rupees.
In the world market, gold increased by 26 dollars to 2441 dollars per ounce, besides, the price of silver per tola remained stable at 2 thousand 900 rupees.
It should be noted that buying gold is traditionally considered a safe investment whose value increases during inflation and political and economic instability.
It has been used for centuries as a form of currency and wealth, and when investors feel uncertain about other assets, they often buy gold.
In Pakistan last year, the method of determining the price of gold was changed, according to which the price of gold was set to 20 dollars per ounce higher than the international market rate.
