Leader of the Pashtun Protection Movement and well-known poet Hazrat Naeem alias Gilaman Wazir has passed away after being in a coma for 72 hours at Pims Hospital in Islamabad.
Late on Tuesday night, PTM chief Manzoor Pashteen confirmed the death of Gilaman minister and said that we have made all possible efforts for Gilaman’s recovery. Opinions on his health were taken from top doctors and hospitals worldwide.
Manzoor Pashteen said that today the doctors of a well-known hospital in America also checked up on Gilaman Wazir, the local doctors had already replied a day ago, but we took opinions on the health of Gilaman from good doctors not only here but all over the world.
He said that our friend was stabbed so severely that it was impossible to treat him.
Manzoor Pashteen said it is tough for me to repeat these words: Gilaman Wazir is no longer among us.
According to the statement issued by PTM, Gilaman Wazir will be taken to North Waziristan via Peshawar from Islamabad at 6 a.m. and the funeral of the deceased will be held at his native Asad Khel tomorrow at 4 o’clock on Friday.
Gilaman Wazir was brought to Pims Hospital after being seriously injured in a fight in the B17 area of ​​the federal capital on Sunday evening.
In the FIR registered with the police, it has been said that Gilaman Wazir was systematically attacked by a person named Azad Dawar along with his friends.
No statement has yet been issued by the police and no one has been arrested yet.
On the other hand, on Tuesday, Manzoor Pashteen, Ali Wazir, other PTM leaders, and other workers were present at Pims Hospital late at night.
During the last three days, NDM Chairman Mohsin Dawar, former MNA and JUI FATA Amir Maulana Jamaluddin, Ajmal Wazir, Alamzeb Mehsud, Akhunzada Hussain Khan and Pashtun Khwaja National Awami Party Chairman Khushal Kakar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi. Members of political parties and social workers, including the spokesperson of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government Barrister Saif, reached the hospital and visited him.
It may be recalled that Gilaman Wazir was an active member of PTM and was popular among the youth for his hateful poetry.
