Gillani Emphasizes Interfaith Harmony at Eidgah Sharif Iftar

 Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, has underscored the significance of Ramadan as a sacred month that fosters righteousness, goodness, and selfless sacrifice. While exchanging views during an Iftar dinner at Eidgah Sharif, Rawalpindi, the Chairman Senate emphasized that this holy month is a time to practice patience, tolerance, and compassion, calling on the nation to align their actions with the spirit of Ramadan.

Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani emphasized that Ramadan teaches individuals vital values such as kindness, patience, and empathy, urging Pakistanis to take full advantage of this blessed month. He highlighted the importance of charity, Zakat, and donations, saying, “Ramadan guides us on the path of mutual respect and kindness. It is a time to take care of the needy and promote social harmony.”

Mr. Gillani also focused on interfaith and interreligious harmony, recognizing the efforts of spiritual and religious leaders in fostering peace and understanding across communities. He paid tribute to Pir Naqeeb ur Rehman of Eidgah Sharif for his significant role in promoting tolerance, love, and brotherhood among people of various faiths. Gillani remarked, “Religious and Spiritual leaders have always played a crucial role in promoting peace and social stability, and we must continue to propagate their messages to strengthen unity in Pakistan.”

Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani stressed the importance of national unity in addressing the challenges facing the country. “The only way to overcome the current challenges and contradictions is through unity and consensus,” he stated. He called on Pakistanis to transcend all forms of division and focus on solidarity to ensure the country’s stability.

“We need solidarity and stability at this time,” he continued. “This Ramadan, let us promote national harmony and work together to create a unified and peaceful Pakistan.”

In conclusion, Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani urged everyone to demonstrate good conduct, tolerance, and selflessness during Ramadan. He prayed that the blessings of this sacred month may serve as a source of mercy for all, guiding individuals toward positive change in their lives.
